A bike tour is a fun and relaxed way to explore San Francisco’s Waterfront District culminating in the chance to ride over the world famous Golden Gate Bridge to sunny Sausalito.
A great experience for first time visitors to San Francisco, enjoy a fun and relaxing guided bike ride along the scenic waterfront district passing Fisherman’s Wharf, Aquatic Park, Fort Mason, the Marina and the Presidio which once protected the Golden Gate and is characterised by many wooded areas, hills, and scenic vistas overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Cross Crissy Field and continue on to Fort Point.
From its vantage point overlooking the spectacular Golden Gate, Fort Point protected San Francisco harbour from Confederate and foreign attack during & after the U.S. Civil War. Here you can enjoy wonderful views of San Francisco Bay before crossing the world-famous Golden Gate Bridge, an undoubted highlight of the trip.
Continue through the Vista Point to Old Fort Baker and then coast two miles downhill into picturesque Sausalito where the tour concludes. Here riders can enjoy the shops, the many art galleries, and the delicious food. Your ferry ticket from Sausalito back to San Francisco is included so you can either return the bike straight away as the tour is now ended, or you can keep the bike until closing hours for some additional adventures!
