Meet the friendly Global team 1.5 hours before sunrise (your exact time will be confirmed the night before) at the Pullman Melbourne on the Park Hotel. After a quick safety briefing and a final weather check, it’s time for your adventure to begin!
You'll be driven to the launch site, which is chosen based on the morning’s wind direction. As you watch the team inflate the balloon (it takes about 30 minutes), feel free to lend a hand or capture stunning sunrise moments with your camera. The pilot will use a fan to fill the balloon with cold air and once it's inflated and ready, they ignite the burner—get ready for lift-off!
As the sun peeks over the horizon, you'll ascend into the sky for approximately an hour. Many passengers are pleasantly surprised by the sense of security and the gentle motion of floating. Your pilot will provide an aerial tour of Melbourne, showcasing its impressive skyline and picturesque surroundings. Depending on the wind direction, you might drift over bustling skyscrapers or peaceful suburbs, with altitudes reaching up to 3,000 feet. So, keep your camera handy for those breathtaking views!
After a smooth landing, you’ll be greeted by the Global ground crew. You can even help deflate the balloon or simply enjoy the moment from a distance.
Once your adventure wraps up, head back to the Pullman Melbourne on the Park for a delightful buffet breakfast. Plus, your pilot will upload complimentary photo memories of your adventure to the Global Ballooning mobile app for easy download.
